Military Spouse Advocacy Network and ZeroMils Form Strategic Partnership to Empower Military Spouse Leaders

ZeroMils, a social impact consulting company, and the Military Spouse Advocacy Network (MSAN), a leading military family nonprofit, have announced a strategic partnership to support and empower military spouses who have graduated from MSAN's Military Spouse Leadership Development Program (MSLDP). The new Military Spouse Leadership Development Program Alumni Network (MSLDPAN) aims to leverage the combined strengths of both organizations to bolster the professional and personal growth of these alumni.

Initially an informal mentorship between the founders of ZeroMils and MSAN, the collaboration has evolved into a formal partnership designed to maximize the potential of the 200 military spouses who have completed the MSLDP. This initiative will focus on creating a dynamic community where alumni can connect, collaborate, and share their expertise.

Key initiatives of the partnership include expert insights and mentorship, the establishment of a distinguished network of mentors from corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors, and both in-person and virtual events to enhance connectivity and fellowship among alumni. According to a recent survey, 97% of MSLDP alumni seek more networking opportunities, 98% are interested in virtual workshops, and nearly 60% desire mentorship support.

MSAN and ZeroMils are committed to addressing these needs, ensuring that alumni have the necessary resources and connections to thrive as leaders and advocates. Verenice Castillo, CEO of MSAN, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, "The knowledge, experience, and mentorship MSLDP Alumni bring will make a significant impact on their journeys, and those of their military spouse peers. Joining forces with ZeroMils will allow us to create a stronger military spouse community as we connect and thrive together."

Kevin Schmiegel, CEO of ZeroMils, highlighted the alignment of this partnership with their goals of fostering Military Thriving cultures and communities. "We look forward to working even more closely with MSAN to shine a spotlight on their meaningful work, creating opportunities for military spouse changemakers to lead, excel, and make a positive impact," Schmiegel said.
