Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch will open its doors at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the Lemon Creek Ranch development, marking the arrival of a locally owned women's contemporary boutique that aims to fill a void for shoppers in the Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne communities. Owner Kelli Hull, frustrated by the lack of nearby options for contemporary designer clothing, spent a year transforming a concrete shell into a 1,200-square-foot store stocked with national brands.
“I kept hearing from other women that they had the same frustrations I did,” Hull said. “On Thursday, that changes. We can't wait to open the doors and finally show everyone what we've built.”
The grand opening begins with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and confetti pop at 9:30 a.m., followed by doors opening at 10 a.m. The first 100 purchases will receive a special gift. Throughout the weekend (Thursday through Saturday), guests can enjoy champagne, light bites, and giveaways from “Kelli's Favorite Things,” featuring local partners like Heights Wellness, Golden Salon, Rooted Strength Fitness, and Glossy Nail Bar.
The boutique offers a curated mix of designers, including Paige denim, FRAME, Milly, Shoshanna, Marie Oliver, and Aviator Nation. Hull selected these brands during buying trips to New York City showrooms. The August 20 opening coincides with the back-to-school season, targeting younger shoppers and families.
“If you want to wear a basic top, a pair of denim and sneakers during the day, but then you have an event in the evening and you need to put on a cocktail dress, we're your one-stop shop to do all of that,” Hull said.
Looking ahead, Hull plans to introduce new brands in January 2027, including Tecovas, Hunter Bell, AGL, and Sunshine Tienda. Trunk shows during the grand opening weekend will offer exclusive access to expanded collections.
Hull emphasizes service and experience as differentiators. “People are a little bit frustrated with a lack of customer service, not only in retail but in industries at large,” she said. “We want every single person who comes in to feel a very elevated, experiential shopping experience.” Services include personal styling, private after-hours events, and Sunday appointments. Hull also made a personal promise: “It is my solemn vow that I'll never let anyone leave Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch in something that doesn't look phenomenal on them.”
The boutique is veteran-owned, and Hull noted, “Supporting the military community is something you'll continue to see us do for years to come.” The location in Lemon Creek Ranch was chosen for its accessibility and growth potential. “You can drive right up to the store, park and walk in,” Hull said. “Lemon Creek Ranch is great where it's at now, but it's only going to continue to get better.”
