Mullen Automotive (NASDAQ: MULN), an emerging electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, announced that its subsidiary, Bollinger Motors, has received certification from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for its B4 all-electric, Class 4 low forward chassis truck. This certification is essential for selling vehicles in states such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and the District of Columbia.
The CARB certification not only allows Bollinger Motors to sell the B4 truck in these regions but also opens up opportunities for customers to access federal and state incentives of up to $100,000. Bollinger plans to commence production of the B4 on September 16, 2024, with customer deliveries expected to begin in October.

Mullen Automotive is committed to building the next generation of commercial electric vehicles with its U.S.-based plants in Tunica, Mississippi, and Mishawaka, Indiana. The company began commercial vehicle production in Tunica in August 2023 and received IRS approval for federal EV tax credits on its commercial vehicles in September 2023. As of January 2024, Mullen's Class 1 EV cargo van, Mullen ONE, and Class 3 EV cab chassis truck, Mullen THREE, are both CARB and EPA certified and available for sale in the U.S.
