Mullen Automotive (NASDAQ: MULN), an emerging electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has announced that its subsidiary, Bollinger Motors, has added TEC Equipment, Inc. to its sales and service network. This strategic move brings 20 new sales and service locations into Bollinger Motors' commercial EV dealer network, significantly expanding its presence across key markets in the Western United States.
The newly added TEC Equipment locations span several states, including Arizona (Phoenix), California (Dixon, Fontana, La Mirada, Lathrop, Oakland, San Diego, and San Francisco), Iowa (Sioux City), Nebraska (Omaha), Nevada (Las Vegas and Reno), Oregon (Eugene, Medford, Portland, Redmond, and Wilsonville), South Dakota (Sioux Falls), and Washington (Lacey and Seattle). TEC Equipment is a family-owned, full-service truck and trailer dealership that was founded in 1976.
Jim Connelly, chief revenue officer for Bollinger Motors, commented, “The addition of TEC Equipment expands Bollinger Motors’ national dealer network westward and gives us a solid foundation in several important markets. TEC is an industry leader in sales and service and provides a critical link to our commitment to electrification and customer support.”
Mullen Automotive, based in Southern California, is building the next generation of commercial EVs with manufacturing plants in Tunica, Mississippi, and Mishawaka, Indiana. The company began commercial vehicle production in Tunica in August 2023. By September 2023, Mullen had received IRS approval for federal EV tax credits on its commercial vehicles, which offer eligible customers up to $7,500 per vehicle. As of January 2024, both the Mullen ONE, a Class 1 EV cargo van, and the Mullen THREE, a Class 3 EV cab chassis truck, are certified by the California Air Resource Board (CARB) and the EPA, making them available for sale in the U.S.
The expansion of Bollinger Motors' dealer network through the inclusion of TEC Equipment enhances the company's ability to serve customers in the Western U.S. and underscores its commitment to advancing the adoption of electric vehicles. This development is particularly significant as the automotive industry continues to shift towards sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
