Nanox Signs Distribution Agreement for Costa Rica, Expanding 3D Medical Imaging in Latin America

Nanox Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: NNOX), a company focused on advancing preventive healthcare through an integrated medical imaging platform, announced a distribution agreement with Costa Rica-based medical equipment distributor SOLME RC, S.A. The partnership will bring the Nanox.ARC, a multi-source digital tomosynthesis system designed to expand access to 3D medical imaging, to the Costa Rican market.

Under the agreement, SOLME will oversee marketing, distribution, installation, training, and ongoing technical support for the Nanox.ARC in Costa Rica. SOLME is a registered supplier to the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), the country's principal purchaser and provider of hospital services. Commercialization will follow applicable regulatory registration, including an initial six-month proof-of-concept device registration period before full registration.

This deal makes Costa Rica Nanox's third Latin American market this year, following earlier expansions into Argentina and Peru. The move underscores the company's strategy to extend its reach beyond traditional hospital settings and into emerging markets where access to advanced medical imaging may be limited.

The Nanox.ARC is part of a broader ecosystem that includes AI-based algorithms (Nanox.AI), a cloud-based platform for data management and analytics (Nanox.CLOUD), a marketplace for remote radiology and cardiology experts, and health IT solutions. By integrating these components, Nanox aims to lower barriers to adoption, improve utilization, and support early detection of disease.

For readers and the medical industry, this agreement signals a continued push to make 3D imaging more accessible in regions where such technology is often scarce. The Nanox.ARC is designed to be cost-effective and scalable, potentially enabling healthcare providers in Costa Rica to offer advanced imaging services that were previously unavailable. This could lead to earlier diagnoses and improved patient outcomes.

The partnership also highlights the growing role of distribution agreements in bringing innovative medical technologies to new markets. As Nanox expands across Latin America, it may face challenges related to regulatory approvals and adoption, but the collaboration with an established local supplier like SOLME could ease those hurdles.

Investors and industry watchers will be monitoring the progress of this rollout, as it represents another step in Nanox's mission to drive the transition to preventive healthcare worldwide.
