Water technology company Nephros has introduced its new S100 In-Line microfilter, expanding its infection control portfolio with a solution designed to provide greater installation versatility across clinical and non-clinical settings.
The new microfilter maintains the company's high-performance standards, featuring a 0.1-micron pore size, FDA 510(k)-clearance, and bacterial retention capabilities that meet ASTM F838 standards. Available in two configurations—Quick Connect and Threaded—the filter addresses water safety needs in environments such as emergency eyewash stations, laboratories, dental equipment, and recreational vehicle water systems.
Key features of the S100 In-Line microfilter include an increased flow rate, a filter life of up to 90 days, and the ability to function effectively in low-pressure plumbing environments. By introducing this product, Nephros aims to provide more tailored water safety solutions that bridge the gap between its existing microfiltration and ultrafiltration product lines.
Nephros President and CEO Robert Banks emphasized the strategic importance of the new microfilter, noting that it allows the company to address installation scenarios where traditional filtration methods are not suitable. The product represents a significant advancement in providing flexible, medical-grade water filtration solutions across diverse applications.
