NextPlat's PharmcoRx to Roll Out Automated Prescription Kiosks at Clinics Starting in 2026

NextPlat (NASDAQ: NXPL, NXPLW) announced that its wholly owned pharmacy subsidiary, PharmcoRx, plans to introduce automated prescription dispensing kiosks from VendRx at select customer clinics and health care facilities, a step that could reshape how patients receive medications immediately after a medical appointment.

The kiosks will allow patients to obtain prescribed medications onsite following appointments and consultation with a PharmcoRx pharmacist, reducing the need for separate pharmacy visits. Initial installations are planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, with broader deployment expected throughout 2027. The initiative is designed to improve medication access and adherence while expanding PharmcoRx's prescription services and relationships with health care providers.

The significance for patients and the broader health care industry lies in the potential to close persistent gaps in pharmacy access, particularly in underserved communities. NextPlat said the kiosks could allow clinics to offer prescription dispensing without additional staffing or onsite pharmacy construction, a cost barrier that has historically kept many smaller and rural providers out of the dispensing business. If the deployment proceeds as planned, patients who currently face long drives or limited pharmacy hours could fill prescriptions before leaving the clinic.

VendRx reports approximately 80% formulary coverage per deployment and more than 90,000 successful prescription dispenses since inception, with no wrong-medication releases reported through Oct. 19, 2026, according to its internal records. Those figures, while company-reported, speak to the operational track record the program is leaning on as it scales.

For NextPlat, the program is expected to create an additional prescription channel for PharmcoRx and support its expansion through independent clinics and health care providers. The company describes itself as a global consumer products and services company providing healthcare and technology solutions through e-Commerce and retail channels worldwide, and it currently operates an e-Commerce communications division as well as pharmacy and healthcare data management services in the United States through its subsidiary, Progressive Care.

The announcement was distributed through BioMedWire, a communications platform focused on the biotechnology, biomedical sciences and life sciences sectors and one of more than 75 brands within the Dynamic Brand Portfolio at IBN. That network delivers wire solutions through InvestorWire, including editorial syndication to 5,000+ outlets and social media distribution, alongside corporate communications solutions.

Investors and industry observers will be watching whether the 2026 installations materialize on schedule and whether clinics adopt the model at the pace NextPlat anticipates. To view the full press release, visit https://ibn.fm/dIWEa.
