Nicola Mining Inc. (NASDAQ: NICM) (TSX.V: NIM) (FSE: HLIA) has completed its 2026 mining campaign at the Dominion Creek Gold Project in British Columbia, including the shipment of roughly 1,300 tonnes of high-grade mill feed to its Merritt processing facility, the company announced. The material, sourced from the Pit Vein, 16 Vein and newly identified 16 East Vein, is expected to contribute to fourth-quarter revenue alongside feed from Red Eye Resources and processing under its agreement with Blue Lagoon Resources.

The completion of the campaign matters for investors because it demonstrates Nicola’s ability to move a mineral asset from acquisition to bulk-sample extraction in about three years, a timeline highlighted by CEO Peter Espig. That speed is central to the company’s strategy of combining targeted mineral asset investments with its wholly owned, fully permitted Merritt mill and tailings facility, which can process gold- and silver-bearing material using gravity and flotation circuits. By leveraging its processing infrastructure, Nicola aims to generate operating cash flow while advancing its broader portfolio, which includes the New Craigmont copper project and the Treasure Mountain property.

Operations began later than initially planned due to equipment delivery delays and additional mine development, but Nicola completed necessary infrastructure improvements and deployed equipment expected to enhance future productivity. The company said the completion of mine development and mobilization of key equipment position Dominion Creek for increased material extraction and potential gold production in 2027. The identified mineralized veins remain open in multiple directions, and newly discovered structures present additional exploration opportunities, according to the announcement.

Nicola also plans to evaluate additional acquisition opportunities with potential pathways to monetization within approximately three years.
