Office Evolution, a leading provider of flexible workspace solutions, is expanding its Jacksonville-Town Center location by adding nearly 3,000 square feet to better serve entrepreneurs, small businesses, and enterprise companies in the area. The expansion at 5011 Gate Parkway, Building 100, Suite 100 represents the second growth initiative in four years under franchise owner Michael Wielgus, who also operates two other Office Evolution locations on the First Coast.
This expansion responds directly to the evolving needs of modern professionals who increasingly prefer working closer to home to limit commuting time while maintaining professional workspace amenities. The additional space will bring the Town Center location from 10,562 to 13,549 square feet, adding 14 individual and team offices to better accommodate the growing demand for flexible workspace solutions.
Michael Wielgus emphasized the strategic importance of this expansion, stating that businesses are increasingly choosing Jacksonville for satellite offices while others utilize meeting rooms to bridge the gap between in-office and work-from-home employees. The expansion, scheduled for completion in early 2026, will feature 56 offices, three conference rooms, two private phone booths, a coworking lounge, two community kitchens, and a mail center.
The enhanced facility will incorporate advanced technology infrastructure including a private VLAN, dedicated fiber internet circuit with commercial-grade ethernet/WiFi, and an Atlas Sound Masking System for noise reduction and voice privacy. Members will enjoy 24/7 secure access via entry fob, providing flexibility for various work schedules and business needs.
Wielgus and his wife Kelly, who originally opened the Town Center location in April 2018, have demonstrated consistent growth in the Jacksonville market. Their first expansion in 2021 was followed by additional locations in Jacksonville-Bartram and Jacksonville-Brooklyn/Riverside in 2020 and 2023 respectively. Collectively, these three sites support over 800 small businesses, solopreneurs, and enterprise companies, representing more than 1,300 members primarily working in transportation/logistics, financial services, legal services, real estate, and information technology sectors.
The expansion reflects broader trends in workplace flexibility and the growing preference for hybrid work models. Office Evolution's continued investment in the Jacksonville market signals confidence in the region's economic growth and the sustained demand for professional workspace alternatives. Beyond physical expansion, Wielgus plans to continue offering special networking and social events to foster community development among members, facilitating business referrals and partnerships. This community-building approach aligns with the company's philosophy of creating collaborative environments where professionals can connect and grow their businesses.
