PNE Group Wins 22 MW Wind Farm Tender in France, Reinforcing Core Market Strategy

PNE Group, a German clean energy solutions provider, has been awarded a 22 MW wind farm project in France's latest tender under the PPE2 programme, marking a key milestone in its core market strategy. The 'Oinville-Saint-Liphard' wind farm, located in the Centre-Val de Loire region, will comprise four wind turbines with a total capacity of 22 MW.

The company was among eleven successful developers in a highly competitive eleventh tender round, where 39 projects representing 808 MW were selected from a total of 144 bids with an aggregate capacity of 2.38 GW. The outcome highlights the challenging conditions for securing new wind capacity in France.

'We are very pleased that we were able to prevail in a highly competitive tender,' said Roland Stanze, Chief Operating Officer of PNE AG. 'This once again demonstrates the excellent work being done by our French team on the ground. Following the sale of the "Romescamps" wind farm, this is the next success for us within just a few days in one of our most important core markets and once again confirms our strategy.'

The tender round followed a nearly one-year pause after the July 2025 tender, in which PNE France successfully secured the 'Chery' and 'Romescamps' projects. The French government announced the relaunch of tenders in early April this year, shortly after publishing the multiannual energy plan PPE3. The timing was fortuitous for PNE, as the 'Oinville-Saint-Liphard' wind farm received approval in just 15 months, in May, just in time to submit for this tender.

This success follows closely on the heels of the sale of the 'Romescamps' wind farm, further solidifying PNE's presence in France, a core market for the group. The PNE Group, listed on the SDAX, has over 30 years of experience in onshore wind farm development, focusing on wind energy and photovoltaic projects worldwide, as well as power generation through its own wind farms. Its portfolio covers all project planning phases, from site investigation and permit procedures to financing, construction, operation, and repowering. As a Clean Energy Solutions Provider, the group also offers services for the entire life cycle of wind farms and photovoltaic plants, along with battery storage solutions.

The approval of the 'Oinville-Saint-Liphard' project in only 15 months underscores the efficiency of PNE's French team and the supportive regulatory environment under the PPE3 plan. This development is significant for the renewable energy industry in France, demonstrating continued investment and growth in onshore wind capacity despite competitive pressures.
