Praxis Investment Management has released its annual Real Impact Report 2025, detailing how the faith-based investment manager creates tangible social and environmental outcomes through seven distinct impact strategies. The sixth edition of the report provides specific metrics demonstrating how stewardship investing translates into real-world change across global markets and local communities.
Praxis President Chad Horning emphasized the importance of leveraging multiple impact strategies simultaneously. "More than ever, we think it's important to leverage as many impact strategies as possible," Horning wrote in the report's introduction. The firm's approach combines advocacy, education, corporate engagement, and proxy voting to drive systemic change while simultaneously supporting specific communities through impact bonds and community investing.
The report organizes its findings around the seven components of the Praxis ImpactX framework. Values and risk screening excluded 3.8% to 23.4% of companies from Praxis stock indices based on ethical criteria. The firm voted on nearly 18,000 shareholder proposals in 2025 through its proxy voting strategy, actively influencing corporate governance decisions.
Sustainability integration represents a proactive approach where Praxis not only screens out companies but also invests more heavily in those aligning with core values. The firm's positive impact bond strategy allocated 35% of holdings in the Praxis Impact Bond Fund to socially or environmentally targeted bonds as of December 31, 2025. Company engagement involved direct discussions with over 20 corporations on issues ranging from human rights and child labor to environmental stewardship.
Advocacy and education efforts included participation in Freedom to Investment, an initiative explaining why investors should consider environmental and human rights impacts in financial decisions. Community development investing, conducted in partnership with organizations like Calvert Impact and Capital Impact Partners, deployed more than $25.8 million into community-focused investments by the end of 2025.
Mark Regier, Vice President of Stewardship Investing, noted that 2025 marked significant milestones for the firm. "2025 was a big year for Praxis—we launched our first two ETFs and published research that proved what we know to be true: that investors want to align their faith with their values," Regier said.
