Print Robot Expands Membership Card Shell Program with On-Demand Personalization and Zapier Integration

Print Robot, a US-based manufacturer of custom printed plastic cards, has expanded its membership card shell program to include on-demand personalization capabilities, allowing associations, clubs, and nonprofits to integrate card issuance directly with their existing membership management workflows. The program now supports automated integration via Zapier's push technology, eliminating the need for manual card production processes.

The shell program is designed for organizations that issue membership cards on a rolling basis throughout the year, such as professional associations, arts organizations, yacht clubs, golf and country clubs, alumni programs, and nonprofits. It is accessible to organizations issuing as few as 100 total cards. Unlike standard batch orders, which require a minimum of 100 cards per run and a production turnaround of 10 to 15 business days, the shell program separates the printing stage from the personalization stage. A custom card design is produced upfront and stored in inventory at Print Robot's 55,000-square-foot facility in Deerfield Beach, Fla. When cards are needed, the organization submits a data file containing member details such as name, member ID, expiration date, QR code, or barcode. Card shells are then personalized on demand, with most runs completed in approximately five business days or less, with no minimum quantity per run.

Data files can be submitted via email, secure FTP, or pushed automatically through a Zapier integration. Fulfillment services are available as an add-on, including automated card affixing to letters, envelope insertion, sealing, and mailing directly to members. Kits containing additional printed materials can also be assembled. Completed orders can alternatively be shipped to the organization for internal distribution.

Cards are produced on 30mil PVC plastic in gloss or matte finish, matching the thickness of a standard credit card. Optional features include magnetic stripes, barcodes, QR codes, signature panels, embossing, slot punching, foil stamping, and embedded RFID or NFC chips for contactless functionality or access control. A paper card alternative is also available. Graphic design services are available on qualifying orders.
