PROXHAUS Launches in Miami to Connect Professionals Through Proximity

PROXHAUS™, a new community focused on connecting people, ideas, businesses, and experiences, officially launched in Miami following a kickoff event at Claudie in Brickell on September 23. The event drew around 50 members, including Mark Burns, Executive Director of the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District; Joe Hornstein, VP of Philanthropy at Goodwill South Florida; Edith Vargas, Founder of Keeping Your Book; and Pamela Silva, Emmy Award-winning journalist.

Founded by Silvana Massolo, PROXHAUS aims to bring people closer together through connection, collaboration, and opportunity. "The name PROXHAUS reflects our belief that proximity creates possibility — that bringing the right people, ideas, businesses, and experiences closer together can lead to impactful change," said Massolo. "Through experiences like The Room and The Table, along with the causes we support and the relationships we build, we're creating a community that shows up together, moves with intention, and creates opportunities that extend far beyond any single event."

The community is free to join as a member, offering access to news, events, exclusive discounts, and community updates. Paid memberships range from $195 to $3,500 annually and provide expanded visibility, connections, and access. Options are designed for young professionals, civic and nonprofit leaders, individuals, businesses, and corporate partners. Benefits can include member spotlights, social and website exposure, advance event access, founder-facilitated introductions, member pricing for experiences, email marketing opportunities, and brand activations.

Massolo emphasized the personal motivation behind the venture. "I understand the power of proximity and how it can help forge relationships and opportunities that people may not otherwise encounter on their own," she said. "PROXHAUS is the community I wish I had when I was 25, at scale."

The organization is also developing strategic partnerships with brands, businesses, organizations, and community leaders to create new avenues for collaboration, visibility, engagement, and experiences within the PROXHAUS community. As it grows, PROXHAUS is exploring opportunities to expand into additional markets through partnerships with trusted local leaders who share its vision for building connected, relationship-driven communities.

This launch matters because it addresses a growing need for meaningful professional connections in an increasingly digital world. By prioritizing in-person experiences and curated introductions, PROXHAUS offers a structured way for individuals and businesses to build relationships that can lead to tangible opportunities. For Miami's business ecosystem, the arrival of such a community could stimulate collaboration, innovation, and economic activity. The tiered membership model also makes it accessible to a broad range of professionals, from young entrepreneurs to established executives, potentially democratizing access to high-value networks.

Moreover, the planned expansion into new markets signals a scalable model that could be replicated in other cities, fostering interconnected communities nationwide. As Massolo noted, the goal is to create opportunities that extend far beyond any single event, suggesting a long-term impact on how professionals connect and collaborate.
