Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum Returns for Sixth Edition, Expanding Reach Across the Caribbean and Beyond

The Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum has officially opened registration for its sixth edition, scheduled for November 2–3, 2026, at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan. The event, recognized as one of the Caribbean's premier gatherings for international banking and insurance, will convene senior executives, regulators, institutional investors, compliance leaders, and government officials from Puerto Rico, the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

This year's forum promises to expand its international reach with a robust agenda addressing the evolving challenges and opportunities in financial services. Key topics will include artificial intelligence in insurance and financial crime compliance, fintech and Banking-as-a-Service, correspondent banking, captive insurance, AML and sanctions, digital assets, regulatory priorities, and investment strategies. The inclusion of these forward-looking subjects underscores the forum's role in shaping the future of the region's financial landscape.

Confirmed speakers include prominent figures such as Mónica Rodríguez, Commissioner of Financial Institutions of Puerto Rico; Suzette del Valle, Commissioner of Insurance of Puerto Rico; and industry leaders from AIG, Morgan White Group, Accelerant, Popular, Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, and Arbol Inc. Additionally, the program will feature regulatory and enforcement experts, including Zachary Kessler from the U.S. Department of Treasury and James Lee from Chainalysis, providing insights into financial crime and digital assets.

The forum is hosted by the Puerto Rico International Insurers Association (PRIIA) and the Puerto Rico International Banks Association (PRIBA), reflecting its strong industry backing. Eduardo Colón, President of PRIBA, emphasized Puerto Rico's growing role as a hub for international banks and insurers, while Hugo Cordova, President of PRIIA, highlighted the event's importance as a networking destination for decision-makers to exchange ideas and explore collaboration opportunities.

As the financial services sector faces rapid technological advancements and evolving regulatory landscapes, the forum serves as a critical platform for dialogue and business development. For attendees, it offers direct access to a specialized audience, valuable for brand visibility and strategic engagement. Organizers encourage early registration, as additional speakers and sessions will be announced in the coming weeks.

The event's continued growth reflects Puerto Rico's strategic position as a bridge between Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States, making it a key location for international financial services. With its focus on innovation and regulation, the forum is expected to influence policy and business decisions across the region.
