SAF-HOLLAND Names Alexandre Charpiot as President of EMEA Region

SAF-HOLLAND SE, a global leader in trailer and truck components, announced the appointment of Alexandre Charpiot as President of its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, effective September 1, 2026. Charpiot, a long-time company executive, will succeed Christoph Gunter, who is departing for a leadership role outside the group.

Gunter, who served as President EMEA for nearly seven years, was instrumental in shaping the region's growth. He oversaw the integration of Haldex in the EMEA area and developed new opportunities in key markets. “Christoph Gunter has successfully led and further developed the EMEA region in recent years,” said Alexander Geis, CEO of SAF-HOLLAND SE, in a statement. “On behalf of the entire management team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to him.”

Charpiot, who joined SAF-HOLLAND in 2009, brings extensive experience from various leadership roles in original equipment and aftermarket businesses. He has managed logistics, purchasing, and product management, and since 2022, as Vice President Sales OEM EMEA, he led sales activities and played a key role in integrating Haldex, Tecma, and Assali Stefen.

The company emphasized that Charpiot’s deep industry knowledge and strong sales expertise make him well-suited to continue the region's successful development. In his new role, he will align the EMEA region with the strategic goals of the drive2030 strategy, focusing on strengthening market position, optimizing operational performance, and pursuing growth opportunities across the product portfolio.

SAF-HOLLAND, headquartered in Bessenbach, Germany, reported sales of approximately EUR 1.73 billion in 2025 and employs around 5,600 people worldwide. The company supplies chassis-related components for trailers, trucks, and buses under brands including SAF, Holland, Haldex, and Neway. It serves both original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket through a global distribution network.

The leadership change comes as SAF-HOLLAND continues to integrate recent acquisitions and expand in emerging markets. Charpiot’s appointment signals a commitment to continuity and strategic growth in the EMEA region, which represents the group’s largest regional business.
