The International Domino Federation (IDF) and the National Domino Federation of Puerto Rico (NDFPR) have announced a major domino challenge event set for October 17, 2024, at Popular Plaza in the DISTRITO T-Mobile, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The event is expected to be a vibrant mix of strategy, skill, and entertainment, featuring participants from the U.S., Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, competing for $20,000 in prizes.
Running from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the San Juan Domino Challenge will not only highlight competitive play but also include live musical performances, making it a memorable occasion for all attendees. The event is backed by notable sponsors, including Puerto Rico Convention District Authority (PRCDA), Discover Puerto Rico, Holsum, and Monster Energy.
Mariela Vallines Fernández, executive director of PRCDA, expressed enthusiasm for the event, emphasizing its role in bringing diverse entertainment to Puerto Rico’s Convention District. Ralph Paniagua, Event Producer at 21 Events, highlighted the prestige of hosting the challenge at DISTRITO T-Mobile, underscoring the event’s importance in elevating the game of dominoes.
