Schmittgens Injury Law Firm, a St. Louis-based personal injury practice, has announced the addition of attorney Danny Schmittgens as the firm's second attorney. A St. Louis native and experienced trial lawyer, Danny joins founding partner Rob Schmittgens, his second cousin, as the firm continues to expand its representation of injury victims throughout Missouri and Illinois.
Danny brings a background that is somewhat unusual for a plaintiff's firm. After graduating from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2020 and earning his license in 2021, he spent more than five years defending doctors and medical facilities against malpractice claims. That experience gives the firm an inside view of how insurance companies and defense teams build their cases; now it's insight Danny will apply for the people on the plaintiff side.
"As his name may suggest, Danny and I are quite literally family, which made the decision to bring him to the firm an obvious one," said Rob Schmittgens, founding partner. "Danny and I have been opponents in the courtroom, and I have seen, first hand, his skills as a litigator. Danny will bring valuable case insight to our legal team using his prior experience as a defense attorney.
