Search Atlas, the AI-powered SEO and marketing platform serving over 30,000 customers and 5,000 agencies worldwide, has introduced a native Slack integration for its AI teammate, Coworker. The integration enables marketing teams and agencies to manage SEO and OTTO tasks directly within Slack, streamlining workflows and reducing the need to switch between platforms.
Coworker, designed to act like a human teammate, allows users to delegate SEO execution by describing tasks in plain language. Previously, these tasks were managed exclusively within the Search Atlas dashboard. With the new Slack integration, teams can connect Coworker to their Slack workspace and handle tasks from within existing conversations. Search Atlas has published setup guidance to help teams configure their workspaces correctly.
The integration supports use in shared channels or direct messages, offering flexibility based on team preferences. Agencies managing multiple client sites can bring Coworker into client-specific channels, ensuring transparency and visibility for all account members. In-house teams can utilize direct messages for day-to-day tasks. Workspace admins receive dedicated permission controls to manage access and define what Coworker can handle across connected accounts. Additionally, Search Atlas has provided documentation on data handling and permissions for teams considering organization-wide rollout.
One notable feature of the Slack integration is support for Routines, Coworker's automated recurring reports. Teams can now receive scheduled SEO and OTTO updates directly in Slack, eliminating the need to manually check the dashboard. Alongside this launch, Search Atlas has resolved a previously reported issue that prevented users from deactivating or deleting Coworker's scheduled jobs, granting full control over active processes.
Coworker is also available through a WordPress plugin, with guidance on how the plugin interacts with OTTO site quotas across multiple domains. For teams getting started, Search Atlas has published a library of example prompts and use cases, covering tasks from technical SEO audits to on-page recommendations. Supporting resources include documentation on when to use Coworker versus the standard dashboard, a troubleshooting guide for Slack connection issues, and a FAQ addressing connected apps, approval steps, and capabilities for both in-house teams and agencies.
