SecureTech Innovations Inc. (OTCQB: SCTH) has completed a series of transactions with QSTAK Holding LLC that grant its Piranha Blockchain subsidiary a perpetual, exclusive, worldwide license to the QSTAK and QSTAKCHAIN blockchain technologies. The deal, announced via NEWMEDIAWIRE, marks the transition of Piranha Blockchain from a concept into an operating business with a live blockchain network, block explorer, wallet applications for iOS and Android, and a browser extension.
The licensed technology includes post-quantum security features and a QSTAK exchange that SecureTech said are in advanced stages of development. SecureTech also acquired a net 15% ownership interest in QSTAK for $4.5 million, paid in newly issued Series A Preferred Stock rather than cash, a structure the company said strengthens its balance sheet while aligning it closely with the team behind the technology.
The transaction comes as tokenization of real-world assets on public blockchains has shifted from concept to functioning market. Real-world assets on public blockchains stood at roughly $14 billion, in January and rose 66% to about $23 billion by mid-March, led by Treasury and money-market funds tokenizing gold and equities. The surge underscores why SecureTech pursued the QSTAK agreements.
Both companies have also formed QSTAK Market, a Wyoming limited liability company owned 57% by Piranha Blockchain, 38% by QSTAK and 5% by Craft Capital Management, which introduced the parties. SecureTech controls QSTAK Market and expects to consolidate its operating results within its financial statements. QSTAK Market intends to build on the QSTAKCHAIN platform to tokenize real-world assets such as real estate and private credit.
J. Scott Sitra, SecureTech's President and CEO, said the license means the company is not starting from a blank slate. "We're starting with a live blockchain network, block explorer, and wallet, and a team already advancing post-quantum security," Sitra said, adding that the head start positions SecureTech to commercialize current blockchain technologies and next-generation quantum-resistant infrastructure, beginning with real-world asset tokenization through QSTAK Market. SecureTech expects to generate initial revenue in the current fiscal quarter.
Financial research firm The Vanderbilt Report noted that the deals give SecureTech another business line while being structured to protect common shareholders, and that acquiring the complete technology stack avoids a build-from-scratch effort that would take years. The firm also highlighted SecureTech's transition from a deficit balance sheet to an operating company with $12.6 million of trailing revenue and its first profitable year on audited results. It cautioned, however, that risks remain, including liquidity concerns and the fact that QSTAK Market does not yet have revenue. The agreement matters beyond SecureTech because it illustrates how blockchain infrastructure firms are positioning for two overlapping trends: the tokenization of traditional assets and the anticipated threat quantum computing poses to existing cryptographic security. By securing exclusive rights to a post-quantum blockchain stack with an established operating footprint, SecureTech is betting that demand for quantum-resistant digital infrastructure will grow alongside the tokenization market.
