The Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI) has announced that its eSummit will become a year-round program called eSummit360, and registration is now open for the annual in-person event, eSummit27, scheduled for March 8-10, 2027, at the Omni Tempe at ASU in Tempe, Arizona. The move reflects the growing demand for continuous collaboration on electronics sustainability challenges.
eSummit360 blends virtual content with the annual in-person gathering, giving leaders across the electronics value chain an ongoing platform to connect, collaborate, and work on real challenges as active participants, not just an audience. This shift recognizes that the conversations driving electronics sustainability forward do not stop, and now neither does the eSummit.
SERI has also recognized several organizations as eSummit360 Champions for their support of the year-round programming, including Blackbelt360, eBay, Lenovo, re:Cycle Reverse Logistics (an Amazon company), and Sims Lifecycle Services. Their backing helps sustain the expanded initiative and the annual in-person event.
For those interested in attending eSummit27, SERI is offering launch pricing of $799 through November 2, after which the rate will increase to $1,299. Registration includes all sessions, meals, and receptions. Full details and registration are available via the full announcement.
SERI is a global non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in the United States with a mission to champion and drive the sustainable use, reuse, and recycling of electronics globally. Its programs work to drive its 10/35 vision: that by 2035, 10-year lifespans will be common among electronics, and all materials will be reused at end-of-life. SERI programs include the R2 Standard for responsible electronics reuse and recycling, the eSummit, ei (electronics impact) Reporting Program, SERI's Champions Program, ReThink Awards, and IEMN (International E-Waste Management Network), among others. This development matters because it signals a long-term commitment to tackling electronic waste, a growing global issue. As electronics consumption rises, sustainable practices are critical. The year-round format allows for continuous innovation and collaboration, potentially accelerating solutions. For industry stakeholders, eSummit360 offers ongoing opportunities to shape best practices and stay ahead of regulatory and market trends. The involvement of major companies as Champions underscores the private sector's role in driving sustainability. For the wider world, SERI's 10/35 vision aims for a future where electronics last longer and materials are fully reused, reducing environmental impact. The launch of eSummit360 and the opening of eSummit27 registration are concrete steps toward that vision, encouraging broader participation and sustained action.
