The Shincheonji Volunteer Group (SVG) recently demonstrated its dedication to environmental preservation by organizing a beach cleanup at Jones Beach in Nassau County, New York. This event, which took place on July 13, 2025, saw 100 volunteers come together to remove garbage, plastic, and debris from the shoreline, contributing to the nationwide effort to maintain clean and safe beaches.
Despite challenging weather conditions, the volunteers' enthusiasm underscored the importance of community involvement in environmental conservation. SVG, recognized as one of the largest volunteer groups globally, continues to expand its efforts beyond its South Korean headquarters to make a tangible difference in communities around the world.
The cleanup at Jones Beach is part of SVG's broader initiative to host monthly volunteer projects in New York, signaling a sustained commitment to environmental stewardship and community service. Such initiatives not only benefit the local ecosystem but also foster a sense of collective responsibility towards preserving natural resources for future generations.
