Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts Expands Scholarship Program for NP, PA, and RN Students

For the second consecutive year, Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts, a leading provider of continuing medical education, is expanding its scholarship program to support adult learners in Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), and Registered Nurse (RN) programs at accredited U.S. universities. The organization will award ten scholarships of $500 each, up from four scholarships offered in 2026, to help cover expenses such as tuition, books, and program fees.

The significant increase in scholarship availability follows an overwhelming response to last year's program. "We offered four scholarships in 2026 and received more than 1,500 applications—an incredible response," said Chuck Dillehay, creator of Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts. "The overwhelming interest made it clear that NPs, PAs, and RNs need greater financial support as they pursue their education. By expanding the program to 10 scholarships, we will ease some of that financial burden and support more healthcare professionals."

Applicants are required to provide insight into their motivation for pursuing advanced education and describe how the scholarship will personally benefit them. The application is open on Bold.org until March 31, 2027, with winners announced on April 30, 2027.

This expansion is important for the healthcare industry, which faces ongoing shortages of primary care providers and increasing demand for services. By easing the financial burden on students, the scholarships may encourage more individuals to enter and complete advanced practice nursing and physician assistant programs, ultimately strengthening the healthcare workforce. The financial support can help offset the rising costs of education, making it more feasible for adult learners to pursue these critical roles.

Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts has been a prominent figure in continuing medical education since its founding in 2011. According to the organization, 25,628 nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians have participated in its events, learning from 160 speakers at 106 CME conference sites and earning nearly 680,000 CME credit hours. This extensive reach underscores the organization's commitment to supporting healthcare professionals throughout their careers.

For those interested in learning more about the CME conferences, additional information is available at SkinBonesCME.com. The scholarship program represents a tangible investment in the future of healthcare, addressing both the educational needs of students and the broader demand for qualified providers. As the application period opens, it offers a valuable opportunity for aspiring NPs, PAs, and RNs to receive assistance in achieving their professional goals.
