Sola Salon Studios, a leading salon studio franchise with more than 700 locations nationwide, has leased 7,952 square feet at 1200 White Street, an adaptive reuse mixed-use development in Atlanta's West End. The salon studio is targeting an early 2026 opening in the development owned by Atlanta-based Ackerman & Co. and Belgium-based Baltisse.
The 211,585-square-foot warehouse building is undergoing an adaptive reuse transformation that offers various space options for retail, restaurants, creative office, experiential concepts and high value-add industrial uses. Kelley Morrissey, the franchise owner of the Sola Salon location at 1200 White Street, expressed enthusiasm about joining the project, stating they appreciate the vision behind this development and are excited to provide health and beauty professionals in Atlanta with business opportunities while benefiting from neighborhood transformation.
The location will feature 41 customized salon suites for varying health and beauty specialties, providing professionals with fully-equipped private studios along with business support, educational resources and technology solutions. Morrissey highlighted the convenient access to the Atlanta Westside BeltLine as another major advantage for the new location.
Leo Wiener, President of Ackerman Retail, welcomed Sola Salon Studios to 1200 White Street, noting that this addition supports their goal of building a dynamic, mixed-use destination that brings together diverse businesses and retailers. The lease follows the recent opening of Dill Dinkers, an 11-court pickleball facility that marked the growing franchise's entry into the Atlanta market at the same development.
The expansion represents continued growth for the West End area, which already includes Lee + White, a 442,000-square-foot redevelopment of the former "Warehouse Row" co-owned by Ackerman with MDH Partners that has become an entertainment and business hub.
