Sonepar, the global leader in B2B electrical distribution, has reported substantial growth in North America through a series of strategic acquisitions in 2024. The company has closed seven acquisitions this year alone, resulting in over $2 billion in additional revenue, approximately 1,700 new associates, and 89 new branches.
This expansion is part of Sonepar's broader strategy to solidify its position as the strongest and most dynamic electrical distribution network across North America. Since 2021, the company has completed a total of 21 acquisitions in the region, significantly enhancing its market presence and capabilities.
Philippe Delpech, President & CEO of Sonepar, emphasized the importance of the North American market, stating that it leads in size, processes, technology, and workforce quality. The company's global sales reached $36 billion in 2023, with North America representing its largest market.

The company has added automated distribution centers, increased its branch network to 548 locations serving every province, territory, and state in North America, and expanded into new areas such as panel shop design, solar and EV solutions, and broadband and utility segments.
