Teton Expeditions is relaunching in Jackson Hole with a new focus on multi-generational family tours of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. The company, re-founded by Jeff Tibbitts and Evan Toal, brings over 50 combined years of guiding experience to offer half-day and full-day wildlife tours that prioritize connection and shared experiences.
The company's origins trace back to the 1970s, when Jeff Tibbitts' father, David Tibbitts, helped establish a guiding philosophy grounded in knowledge, humility, and deep respect for the land. This philosophy shapes the new venture, which aims to help families experience the parks meaningfully rather than just passing through.
“We know what it looks like when this is done right,” said co-founder Evan Toal. “We built this company around that vision.”
Teton Expeditions offers tours designed for small groups, families, and multi-generational travelers. Pickup and drop-off are available throughout the Jackson Hole area. The company's message, “See It Together,” reflects its goal of creating shared memories: a child encountering a moose for the first time, grandparents watching bison move across an open valley, and parents taking time to understand their surroundings.
“The parks are for everyone,” said co-founder Jeff Tibbitts. “But not everyone experiences them the same way. We want families, older travelers, and first-time visitors to feel comfortable, curious, and included from the moment they step into the vehicle.”
Tours are intentionally paced, and guides are selected for their depth of knowledge, character, patience, and ability to connect with guests across generations. Many guides have backgrounds in natural history, science education, and wildlife interpretation. For families, the natural world is made accessible at every age. For older travelers, there are no rushed itineraries or crowded buses.
The Greater Yellowstone ecosystem is home to grizzly bears, wolves, bison, elk, moose, pronghorn, eagles, and other species. Teton Expeditions helps guests understand the region's geology, conservation, and stewardship story.
“Every family that spends a day in the parks with one of our guides is a potential steward,” Tibbitts said. “Every kid who sees a moose cross a river for the first time is a future advocate. That is what this is really about.”
Teton Expeditions is currently booking tours for the 2026 season. Half-day and full-day wildlife tours are available for both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Private tours and group rates are offered for families, multi-generational travel parties, and special occasions. Reservations are available at tetonexpeditions.com.
