Texas Radiotherapy has expanded its medical services by introducing Breast Associates of Texas, a new medical group specializing in breast surgical oncology. Led by Dr. Amelia Tower, an experienced breast surgical oncologist, the new entity aims to provide personalized and expert patient care.
Dr. Tower brings over 11 years of medical experience to the role, including her current position as an Assistant Dean and Associate Professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth and a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Matthew Cavey, radiation oncologist and president of Texas Radiotherapy, emphasized the organization's commitment to patient-centered care. He highlighted Dr. Tower's expertise and her alignment with the company's philosophy of prioritizing patient needs.
The new medical group will focus on comprehensive breast cancer treatment, with Dr. Tower specializing in advanced surgical techniques including Hidden Scar™ methods designed to minimize surgical scarring and facilitate patient recovery.
