Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) announced the appointment of Mr. Charlie Greig, MSc, P. Geo, as a Technical Advisor to the Company, effective immediately. Greig, a British Columbia-based professional geologist with a distinguished career in mineral exploration, will provide strategic guidance on the company's copper-gold porphyry projects in BC.
Greig brings a proven track record of discoveries and project advancements. He was instrumental in the discovery of the Saddle North copper-gold porphyry deposit and the high-grade gold-silver zone at Saddle South while serving as Vice President of Exploration for GT Gold Corp. GT Gold was subsequently acquired by Newmont Corporation in 2021 for C$456 million. His involvement in projects that advanced to production includes La India in Mexico (Grayd–Agnico Eagle), Wolverine in Yukon, Alamo Dorado in Mexico, Brucejack Lake, and Bisha in Eritrea. He has also contributed to advanced-stage projects such as Ike, Red Mountain, Casino, and Silbak Premier-Big Missouri.
Most recently, Greig has been the lead technical advisor for American Eagle Gold's NAK project, a Cu-Au porphyry project near Smithers, BC, in partnership with Teck Resources and South32 Ltd. He has also advised Kingfisher Metals, Happy Creek Minerals, and Hercules Metals. He currently serves as Executive Chairman at Evergold Corp. and CEO of Metal Energy Corp.
Daithi Mac Gearailt, CEO of Trailbreaker, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Charlie to the Trailbreaker team. His experience working in BC Cu-Au porphyry deposits will be instrumental in guiding exploration at our Coho, Atsutla, and Liberty projects.”
As compensation for his advisory role, Trailbreaker issued Greig 100,000 stock options at a strike price of C$0.40 per share for five years, as disclosed in the April 16, 2026 news release.
The appointment comes as Trailbreaker focuses on advancing its portfolio of mineral properties in mining-friendly British Columbia and Yukon Territory. The company's experienced management team aims to leverage Greig's expertise to enhance exploration success and deliver shareholder value.
Carl Schulze, P. Geo., Consulting Geologist with Aurora Geosciences Ltd, is the qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 for Trailbreaker's BC and Yukon exploration projects and has reviewed the technical information in this release.
