Andy Cagnetta, CEO of Transworld Business Advisors (TBA), has been inducted into the inaugural International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) Hall of Fame, as announced today by TBA. The IBBA Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made a substantial impact on the business brokerage profession through service, leadership, credentialing, educational contributions, and individual awards.
"I'm so grateful to be recognized by the IBBA for this distinguished honor," said Cagnetta. "My fellow inductees have made a tremendous impact on our industry and I'm proud to be acknowledged along with this remarkable group."
Cagnetta's journey with TBA began in 1995 as an agent, where he quickly rose to be one of South Florida's top performers. Within two years, he took over the company, and through a strategic partnership with United Franchise Group (UFG), TBA grew to become the world's leading business brokerage franchise. Over its 40-year history, TBA has facilitated more than 10,000 entrepreneurs in making pivotal business decisions, whether launching, growing, or transitioning their ventures.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Cagnetta is also renowned for his community involvement. Over two decades ago, he initiated Andy's Pasta Dinner, an event designed to support LifeNet4Families, a South Florida nonprofit that provides essential services to those in need. The event has since raised hundreds of thousands of dollars annually, significantly impacting the community.
Cagnetta also serves on the National Board of Directors for Compass Pro Bono, a nonprofit organization founded in 2001 that connects business professionals with local nonprofits through strategic volunteer engagements. These transformative projects foster lasting relationships between business leaders and community organizations.
Under Cagnetta's leadership, Transworld Business Advisors has expanded to over 250 global offices with 850 expert advisors, and the company has successfully sold more than 15,000 businesses. TBA continues to be a leader in the marketing and sales of businesses, mergers and acquisitions, and franchises.
Transworld Business Advisors is part of the United Franchise Group family and is dedicated to helping buyers and sellers connect, providing franchise consultations, and supporting franchise development. The company represents both acquisition-minded corporations and individuals interested in owning their own businesses or franchises.
