TruGolf Places Franchise Ownership Records on Blockchain as Network Targets 221+ Locations

TruGolf Holdings (NASDAQ: TRUG), a producer of advanced golf simulation systems for home and entertainment venues, has engaged its newly acquired subsidiary Polymath to move the ownership records of its indoor golf franchise business onto a blockchain-based securities platform. The intercompany agreement, announced October 14 and detailed in a release carried by NEWMEDIAWIRE, marks the first technology deployment since TruGolf completed its acquisition of Polymath on October 8, 2026.

Under the arrangement, TruGolf Links Franchising LLC will work with Polymath Research Inc. to migrate its capitalization table onto Polymesh, a public, permissioned blockchain designed for regulated digital assets. The system is intended to build investor identity verification and transfer restrictions directly into the ownership infrastructure, giving the franchisor compliance controls as its network expands.

The scale of that expansion explains why the move matters. TruGolf Links’ Regional Developers in New Jersey, New York, and Illinois represent more than 100 future locations, and the network is scaling toward 221+ committed locations. Managing a cap table of that size through conventional, manually maintained records becomes increasingly difficult and costly; a tokenized ledger is intended to streamline investor onboarding and keep ownership records consistent across jurisdictions as new franchisees join.

The company is also developing an equipment leasing program and fractional franchise ownership opportunities for qualified franchisees, with an initial rollout targeted for the first quarter of 2027. Those initiatives could lower the capital barrier for prospective operators by allowing them to participate in franchise ownership in smaller increments, though TruGolf cautioned that no securities are currently being offered and that any future offering will be made only pursuant to applicable offering documents and securities laws.

For investors, the announcement offers an early look at how TruGolf intends to justify its acquisition of Polymath: pairing an established golf simulation business with digital securities infrastructure. The strategy’s success depends on integrating Polymath’s operations, opening committed locations, and navigating the regulatory and market risks associated with tokenized securities, all of which the company identified as factors that could cause actual results to differ from its forward-looking statements.
