tZERO Group, Inc., an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider for tokenized financial markets, announced that Temple Digital Group has engaged tZERO Securities, LLC to act as the registered broker-dealer and alternative trading system (ATS) operator for Temple’s proprietary tokenized securities trading platform on the Canton Network. The agreement, reported via NEWMEDIAWIRE, pairs Temple’s onchain trading technology with tZERO’s regulated operating infrastructure, including client onboarding and transaction services.
The deal allows Temple to offer tokenized securities trading to its clients without building its own broker-dealer and ATS capabilities. Temple’s platform includes a proprietary matching engine, an RFQ module, a central limit order book for tokenized National Market System securities and exchange-traded products, a front-end user interface, and settlement infrastructure designed for atomic delivery-versus-payment and repurchase agreement settlement on Canton. Temple has executed over $1.6 billion in volume for Canton and is the largest platform by transaction volume on the network.
“Institutions building tokenized markets need a regulated operating foundation that can work with their technology and business model,” said Alan Konevsky, Chief Executive Officer of tZERO Group, Inc. “Temple has developed one of the most powerful trading systems on Canton. By bringing our broker-dealer and ATS capabilities to that system, we can help Temple deliver its offering to clients while expanding the reach of tZERO’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service footprint as we focus on powering broker-dealers and other financial institutions at scale.”
Evan Varsamis, Chief Executive Officer of Temple Digital Group, said, “Working with tZERO allows us to combine our solutions with an established broker-dealer and ATS operator, providing the regulated infrastructure needed to support securities on our platform at scale.”
tZERO Securities is an SEC-registered broker-dealer and a member of FINRA and SIPC. It will operate the dedicated platform. Implementation is pending; launch timing and product availability will be announced separately.
The agreement underscores a growing trend: as institutional interest in tokenized securities accelerates, specialized infrastructure providers are stepping in to supply regulated brokerage and trading services. For Temple, the partnership removes the significant cost and complexity of obtaining its own broker-dealer and ATS licenses, potentially speeding its time to market. For tZERO, the deal expands its IaaS business, which aims to serve broker-dealers and financial institutions at scale.
The collaboration also highlights the Canton Network’s role as a venue for tokenized asset trading. Temple’s existing volume—over $1.6 billion—demonstrates meaningful activity, and integrating tZERO’s regulated stack could attract further institutional participation. However, the companies caution that implementation is pending and that no launch date or product availability has been set. Investors should note the risks inherent in digital asset securities, including potential loss of principal, liquidity constraints, and regulatory developments.
