Utah's Life Sciences Summit Offers Networking and Pitch Competition for Entrepreneurs

The 2025 Entrepreneur and Investor Life Sciences (E&I) Summit, sponsored by Wilson Sonsini and organized by BioUtah and the University of Utah Technology Licensing Office, will convene over 400 life sciences professionals to explore innovation and investment opportunities in Utah's rapidly growing biotech sector.

The event, scheduled for March 13-14 at the Sheraton Hotel and Snowbird Ski Resort, will feature high-profile speakers including Monica DiCenso from J.P. Morgan Private Bank and Earl "Eb" Bright from Exploramed. Participants will gain insights into the current investment landscape and entrepreneurial challenges in the life sciences industry.

A key highlight of the summit is the Shark Tank-style pitch competition, where life sciences companies will present innovations across three categories: medical devices/diagnostics, pharmaceuticals/therapeutics, and biotechnology/digital health. Winners in each category will receive $5,000 cash prizes and additional recognition.

Utah's life sciences industry represents a significant economic driver, contributing $22.6 billion to the state's GDP and supporting approximately 180,000 jobs. The summit aims to strengthen connections between entrepreneurs, investors, academic research centers, and industry service providers.

Early-bird registration is available until February 14, with the event promising valuable networking opportunities and insights into emerging technologies and treatments from Utah's innovative startup ecosystem.
