Valencia by FivePoint Expands Outdoor Amenities with New Community Parks

Valencia by FivePoint recently celebrated the opening of two new community parks, further enriching outdoor options for residents and their guests. The new parks represent an extension of FivePoint's commitment to creating inviting outdoor settings for people and their pets to enjoy throughout the Santa Clarita Valley community.

Connecting to the Eastlink greenway, Verve Park features roomy lawns, kids' playground, an outdoor fitness zone and handy bike rack. Future additions include a ValenciaGO mobility hub. Verve Park also includes a community clubhouse, and residents will be able to reserve this space for parties, meetings and private events. The November 1 opening of Riparian Park added even more choices for Valencia residents. Just above Verve Park on Riparian Avenue, Riparian is a new park of the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department featuring basketball courts, a sports field, playground, family picnic areas, trails and native landscapes.

The community's emphasis on outdoor living extends throughout Valencia's development, where about 10,000 of Valencia's 15,000 acres are dedicated to open space interwoven with diverse discovery points and biking, hiking and pedestrian trails. Award-winning Confluence Park serves as a community core with expansive lawns for family picnics and special events like Movie Night, Boo Bash and holiday celebrations. Resort-style features include a lap pool, kiddie pool, spa and cabanas, creating what residents describe as a vacation-like atmosphere at home.

Confluence Park also holds a large Community Garden where all ages are welcomed to join the Gardening Club. The Eastlink Greenway connects diverse destinations within Valencia through a network of walking, biking, and Neighborhood Electric Vehicle paths that currently connect to Confluence and Verve Parks and will lead to more parks and open space in the future. Additional amenities include a pump track for cycling enthusiasts, bike repair stand, and shaded pavilion for relaxing.

Residents consistently highlight the social benefits of Valencia's outdoor-focused design. Homeowners report that casual interactions at parks and playgrounds foster meaningful connections and create a neighborly small-town atmosphere. The community's walkability and extensive trail systems allow residents to enjoy outdoor activities without needing to drive, while proximity to I-5 provides access to area job centers and amenities.

The Valencia Farmers Market offers another community gathering point, open to residents and visitors every Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The market features fresh produce and artisan fare from Valencia's surrounding areas, along with seasonal presentations. Further highlighting the market is The Wandering Shelf, a pop-up mobile bookshop that underscores FivePoint's commitment to education in the Santa Clarita Valley. More information about community events and amenities can be found at https://www.valencia.com.

Valencia's home designs optimize privacy, indoor/outdoor livability and views while featuring sustainable elements including low-E windows, upgraded insulation, rooftop solar and tankless water heaters. Some homes provide flow meters at main water lines and solar data to help owners monitor water usage and energy production. Level 2 electric vehicle chargers are planned for existing and future homes, positioning the community at the forefront of sustainable residential development.
