The Mad Hatter's July 4th Waterfront Festival is set to return for its 12th year on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Barbara Kondylis Waterfront Park in Vallejo, California. The event, produced by Hyperion Community Partners LLC in partnership with the City of Vallejo, promises a full day of activities from daybreak to sundown, followed by a night market and fireworks.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of attractions, including the Annual Maritime Dog Parade, interactive exhibits with the Wholly Wackers (sheep), rescued reptiles, a Kids Zone, Giant Kites, Classic Cars, cultural performances, and live music. Food trucks and an international food court will offer diverse cuisines, while the Night Market will feature shopping and entertainment before the Lighted Sky Show grand finale.
The festival highlights Vallejo's waterfront setting, overlooking Mare Island and its historic shipbuilding facilities. Organizers describe the event as a go-to attraction for thousands, blending recreation, food, and entertainment in a family-friendly atmosphere.
This year's celebration coincides with the 250th anniversary of Independence Day, adding significance to the evening fireworks display. The event is part of Hyperion Community Partners' two major holiday events in Vallejo, which also include the Mad Hatter Holiday Festival, Parade & Tree Lighting in December.
