Verizon Unveils Back-to-School Deals with Free Devices and Digital Safety Tools

As the new school year approaches, Verizon is rolling out a suite of back-to-school deals aimed at making essential technology affordable and safe for families. The telecommunications giant announced on Tuesday exclusive offers that include free devices, discounts for teachers and college students, and digital wellness tools to help parents navigate the digital landscape.

Among the standout offers is the Gizmo Watch 4, available free for new and existing customers when purchased on a 36-month payment plan with a new watch line. The device features location tracking, school mode, and approved-contact-only communication, giving parents peace of mind. Additionally, the Kids Bundle allows customers to buy any Android phone and receive a free Gizmo Watch 4 along with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ when adding a new line and service plan for each device.

For those seeking a premium experience, the Samsung Ultimate Bundle offers eligible customers a free Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Tab S10 FE when purchasing a new Samsung phone on a payment plan or bringing their own Android phone with a new line and service plans on each device.

Verizon is also targeting educators and students with special pricing. Teachers can access the carrier's best 5G network for $25 per line per month with four lines on Unlimited Welcome, with additional discounts that stack. College students can save up to $25 per month on two lines of mobile service when bundled with home internet.

Beyond device deals, Verizon emphasizes digital safety with tools like the Verizon Family App, which provides parental controls for managing screen time, teen driving insights, and location check-ins. The company also offers a free downloadable Family Tech Agreement to help families establish mutual boundaries around screen use. Free digital wellness resources are available through the Parenting in a Digital World site.

These offerings address a key challenge for families: navigating the digital landscape and prioritizing online safety as the school year begins. Verizon positions itself as a one-stop shop for simple plans and powerful digital wellness tools, aiming to make the transition easier and safer for every family.
