Verizon is betting that a mix of free devices, deep home internet discounts and exclusive experiences can make it the go-to carrier this holiday season. Starting November 5 and running through the holidays, the company is offering new and existing customers who switch or add a line on its Simplicity plan the latest smartphones with no trade-in required. Buyers who put the phone on a 36-month device payment plan can also get a smartwatch and earbuds at no extra cost when they add a new line on a $7.50-per-month watch plan.
The device lineup spans Apple, Samsung, Google and Motorola. Customers who choose the iPhone 18 Pro receive an Apple Watch SE3 and AirPods 5; those who pick the Galaxy S26 Ultra get a Watch9 and Buds4; the Pixel 11 Pro XL comes with a Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Buds 2a; and the motorola razr+ 2026 pairs with a moto watch ultra and moto buds 2 plus. In each case, the watch plan runs 36 months at 0% APR, plus taxes and fees, and additional terms apply. Verizon says its Verizon Loyalty members also pay zero activation and upgrade fees, saving up to $40 per device.
Home internet is the other pillar of the promotion. Customers who sign up for a select Fios, Frontier or 5G Home plan get two months free, plus either a Samsung 43-inch TV and soundbar bundle or $200 toward gift cards from Target, Macy's, Nordstrom, HomeGoods and Sephora. The carrier calls it its best offer ever on select home internet plans.
Beyond discounts, Verizon is leaning on loyalty rewards to differentiate. Members earn 3% cash back in Verizon Dollars and gain access to Verizon Shine, which includes weekly sweepstakes, daily drops and ticket presales through the My Verizon app. The November Epic Wins include a Jonas Brothers show experience with Joe Jonas on November 9, an NHL Winter Classic après-ski trip on November 16 and a VIP NFC Championship experience on November 23. December brings themed weeks for gift shopping, party prep, everyday magic, family fun and New Year's resolutions, featuring experiences with Lainey Wilson, Alex Guarnaschelli and Universal Orlando Resort. No purchase is required to enter or win, and daily drops are available while supplies last.
Verizon's value brands are also getting in on the action. Total Wireless is offering an iPhone 17e on its Total ALL ACCESS plan via Total Edge financing for well-qualified customers, while Visible starts unlimited 5G data at $19 per month. Straight Talk is discounting devices at Walmart and StraightTalk.com, including free 5G phones on select plans and a free second month of fixed wireless home internet with a router purchase. Business customers can explore separate holiday offers.
The stakes are significant for consumers weighing upgrades. Verizon generated $138.2 billion in revenue in 2025, and its holiday push combines device subsidies, fee waivers and experiential rewards to capture spending during the year's peak shopping period. For rival carriers, the message is clear: the battle for subscribers this season will be fought not just on price but on perks that make staying put more valuable.
