Vingroup Launches VERTA International School to Prepare Students for the AI Era

Vingroup has announced the establishment of VERTA International School, a new K-12 educational model designed for a generation growing up in the age of artificial intelligence. The school, located at 148 Giang Vo, Hanoi, is scheduled to open in August 2027 and will accommodate approximately 800–1,000 students. Admissions for the first academic year will begin in October 2026, welcoming around 400 students from Grades 1 to 11. The announcement was made via Media OutReach Newswire.

VERTA is built on a U.S.-oriented educational approach and guided by the philosophy "Learn. Make. Matter." The school aims to develop students with strong academic foundations, independent thinking, and the ability to harness AI and technology to solve problems and create value. As part of Vingroup's broader education portfolio, which includes Vinschool, Brighton College Vietnam, Vin Nexus Center, and VinUniversity, VERTA represents a strategic move to nurture a generation equipped for an AI-transformed world.

The curriculum emphasizes depth in mathematics, science, languages, social studies, and the arts. In upper grades, it expands to include AI and Advanced Computing, Engineering, Biomedical Science, Entrepreneurship, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Learning is interdisciplinary, enabling students to connect knowledge across fields and address problems with increasing independence. The "Make" principle focuses on turning understanding into capability through hands-on projects, while "Matter" encourages students to apply their skills to real-world problems, leveraging Vingroup's ecosystem in higher education, research, healthcare, technology, and urban development.

Ms. Phan Ha Thuy, Chairwoman of VS Company, the Vingroup entity developing VERTA, said: "VERTA aims to equip students with the strong academic foundations needed to pursue demanding university pathways, while developing their ability to conduct research, reason, design and turn ideas into tangible outcomes; use AI and technology to extend their thinking; and tackle problems without predefined solutions."

The school will be led by Dr. Tarek Razik, an international educator with over 35 years of experience, who previously led Jakarta Intercultural School and the International School of Beijing. Instruction will be in English, with teachers initially taking a more active role before students gradually assume greater ownership of their learning.

VERTA's launch matters because it addresses the growing need for education that prepares students for an AI-driven economy. By integrating AI and technology into the curriculum from an early age, VERTA aims to produce graduates who can think critically, adapt to rapid changes, and create value in a world where AI is reshaping how we learn, work, and create. This move could influence educational trends in Vietnam and beyond, offering a model for how schools can evolve to meet the demands of the 21st century.
