VolitionRx Limited (NYSE American: VNRX) has entered into a collaboration with Sysmex (TYO: 6869) to optimize the company’s Nu.Q® NETs H3.1 assay on Sysmex’s diagnostic platform, according to a press release. The agreement aligns with Volition’s strategy of licensing its proprietary Nu.Q® NETs technology to established global diagnostics companies, leveraging their disease expertise, regulatory capabilities, and installed analyzer base to accelerate development and commercialization.

The collaboration has progressed beyond assay transfer and is now in the optimization phase for diseases associated with NETosis, a process implicated in conditions including sepsis and other acute and chronic diseases. The company believes the Nu.Q® NETs assay could provide improved diagnostic information, support patient monitoring, and address a commercial opportunity with an estimated total addressable market of $3.8 billion.
