Washington Square Entertainment and NTD Canada to Develop Conspiracy Thriller Series Based on John Moody's Hui Trilogy

Washington Square Entertainment and New Tang Dynasty Television (Canada) have finalized an agreement to develop a scripted drama series based on John Moody's acclaimed Hui Trilogy of books. The series, currently titled "Of Course They Knew…," will be adapted for television by International Emmy-nominated David Cormican and Emmy-nominated Dwayne Hill, who will serve as showrunners and executive producers.

The geopolitical conspiracy thriller explores the silent collapse of Western society as it falls under the influence of a covert global campaign driven by disinformation, artificial intelligence, and psychological warfare. Told through the intertwined lives of ordinary citizens across multiple continents, the series examines how truth itself becomes the most dangerous weapon in a new kind of global conflict. This development comes at a time when the boundaries between information, propaganda, and power have become increasingly blurred in global discourse.

The project is being developed for NTD (Canada) as part of the broadcaster's expanding slate of premium scripted drama with international appeal, in association with the Canada Media Fund. "Partnering with NTD on 'Of Course They Knew…' allows us to bring an urgent and deeply relevant story to the screen," said David Cormican. "John Moody's trilogy reads like tomorrow's headlines, and we believe it has the scope and scale to become a truly global television event."

Joe Wang, President of New Tang Dynasty Television (Canada), stated, "'Of Course They Knew…' aligns with our commitment to telling stories that examine the forces influencing freedom, truth, and democracy on an international stage." The broadcaster provides news and cultural programming with a focus on stories exploring freedom and human rights, with more information available at https://www.ntd.com and https://www.ntd.com/canada.

Author John Moody, former Executive Editor and Executive Vice-President of Fox News, added, "This story was written as a warning, but it has become increasingly clear that the world is moving closer to the reality it imagines." Moody's publisher, Brick Tower Press, which can be found at https://www.bricktowerpress.com, holds the rights to the trilogy alongside the author.

The television adaptation is being developed as a multi-season dramatic series with Cormican and Hill attached to co-write and executive produce. Executive Producers include David Cormican and Dwayne Hill for Washington Square Entertainment, Sophia Sun for Yonderland Productions, and John Moody. Four-star General Wesley K. Clark, U.S. Army (Ret.), former Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO, has been engaged as a consultant on the series' military, intelligence, and international political storylines.

The development and rights agreement was negotiated by Alan Morell of Creative Management Partners (CMP) on behalf of the rights holders, together with Washington Square Entertainment, Yonderland Productions, Brick Tower Press and NTD. More information about Creative Management Partners is available at https://www.creativemanagementpartners.com. The series is being developed by Washington Square Entertainment, Fun Republic Pictures, and Yonderland Productions, in association with NTD (Canada) and the Canada Media Fund.
