Wolfson Group, a Scotland-based international consumer wellness company, is expanding the availability of its non-prescription weight management brand PhenQ in the United States as new data shows rapid growth in the use of prescription GLP-1 medications. According to a June 2026 report from PwC, 21% of U.S. households included a current GLP-1 user as of May 2026, up from 9% in January 2025. The surge underscores how quickly weight management has moved to the center of American health conversations, but Wolfson Group argues that prescription drugs are only one part of a diverse and evolving marketplace.
The company said PhenQ, an established consumer wellness brand in its portfolio, is now available to U.S. consumers through Amazon and, more recently, through OneLavi.com. The move reflects a broader U.S. strategy of developing multiple distribution channels while supporting a portfolio of wellness brands that also includes TestoPrime and NooCube.
"The weight management market is evolving, and consumers have more choices than ever before," said the founder and CEO of Wolfson Group. "Prescription medications have become an important part of the conversation, but nutrition, physical activity and everyday lifestyle habits remain central to how people think about managing their weight. Our focus is on serving consumers in the non-prescription wellness market."
The company stressed that PhenQ is a non-prescription product and should not be viewed as a substitute for prescribed medical treatments. It said the two categories are distinct and that clearer consumer education about the different products and services available, their intended purposes and the importance of informed decisions is increasingly necessary. That distinction matters for readers navigating a market where GLP-1 drugs have captured headlines but where everyday wellness habits and non-prescription options still play a role for many adults.
Wolfson Group's portfolio spans weight management, cognitive wellness, gut health and men's wellbeing, including brands such as YourBiology. The company said it continues to pursue additional U.S. retail opportunities following its participation in the September ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and will keep investing in consumer education, science-led brand development and expanded distribution. The expansion highlights how wellness companies are positioning themselves for a weight management market that is growing more complex, and more crowded, as prescription and non-prescription approaches compete for consumer attention.
