Woodbridge Pacific Group Earns Seven SoCal MAME Award Nominations for Desert Homes

Woodbridge Pacific Group (WPG) has received seven nominations in the 2026 SoCal MAME Awards for its new home designs in California's desert locales, the company announced. The nominations recognize architectural design and interior merchandising across three distinct home collections, underscoring the builder's attention to detail in a competitive market.

The SoCal MAME judges honored Plans Two and Four at Solace in Miralon for Architectural Design, and named Solace as an Architectural Series. The Daybreak design at Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community in Rancho Mirage, was also nominated for Architectural Design. All three designs received additional recognition for Interior Merchandising of the model homes. The awards program is one of homebuilding's most prestigious competitions, welcoming entries in 2026 across some 30 categories that celebrate achievements in design, planning, and development.

Hannouche Architects of Newport Beach served as the architectural firm for all nominated homes, while Chameleon Design of Costa Mesa created each model home's interior merchandising. Each of the three designs is also eligible for the So Cal MAME Home of the Year designation, which will be announced at the November 14 awards ceremony at the Westin Resort in Anaheim. "WPG and its team have earned a fine reputation for notable attention to detail, and these superb desert homes show us why this design/development team is so celebrated," said Lisa Parrish, Judging Chair for the So Cal MAME Awards.

WPG President Andrew Murphy expressed appreciation for the recognition and for the contributions of the firm's design partners. "We are delighted with these nominations and delighted that Hannouche and Chameleon are an important part of these prestigious honors," Murphy said. "All of us strive to create new homes with persuasive, versatile designs, and to place these homes in locations that enrich the desert lifestyle for a wide variety of move-up and empty nester shoppers."

The nominations carry implications beyond prestige for WPG, which is a privately held, selective developer and homebuilder with a track record of design and planning awards. The recognition could strengthen the company's position in California's desert markets, where it targets move-up and empty-nester buyers seeking versatile designs in amenity-rich communities. Murphy noted that "Solace and Daybreak epitomize the excellence our shoppers expect from WPG neighborhoods" and that the company is "proud to see these desert homes take their place among our winning collections."

WPG's expansion in California and Idaho is supported by what the company describes as proven capabilities in land acquisition and asset management, along with new home offerings that respond to well-researched buyer preferences. For readers and industry observers, the MAME nominations signal continued demand for thoughtfully designed desert living and highlight the collaborative role of architects and interior merchandisers in shaping modern home communities.
