Wrap Technologies Launches WrapTactics LMS, Completing Training Foundation for Non-Lethal Response

Wrap Technologies (NASDAQ: WRAP) has announced the commercial launch of WrapTactics Learning Management System (LMS), a digital platform designed to support the deployment of its non-lethal response technologies, including the BolaWrap 150. The launch completes the training foundation of the company's WrapShield six-tier human-centered response architecture, according to a press release.

The LMS provides digital learning, certification management, immersive virtual reality training, compliance reporting, and mobile learning. This comprehensive platform is intended to ensure that officers and other users are properly trained in the use of Wrap's technologies, which are designed to reduce the risk of injury during encounters.

The launch follows a significant regulatory development: the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) classified the BolaWrap 150 as an instrument of restraint rather than a firearm or weapon. This classification, announced in 2026, is expected to expand procurement opportunities beyond traditional law enforcement markets, potentially opening doors in private security, healthcare, corrections, education, and transportation sectors.

Wrap Technologies emphasized that WrapTactics is designed to create recurring subscription revenue through ongoing certification, curriculum updates, and compliance services. The company also plans to broaden the platform with AI-assisted training assessment, additional digital certifications, advanced analytics, and partner-developed content. These enhancements are aimed at targeting federal, defense, and international opportunities.

The BolaWrap 150, which is used by over 1,000 agencies across the U.S. and in 60 countries, is a patented device that deploys a multi-sensory distraction followed by a non-lethal restraint. It does not rely on pain compliance, nor does it shoot, strike, shock, or incapacitate. Instead, it is designed to help officers manage non-compliant subjects during the pre-escalation phase, potentially reducing injuries to both officers and subjects.

The training for BolaWrap is certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST), reinforcing the company's commitment to public safety through expert training. Wrap also offers WrapReality, a virtual reality training simulator that provides first responders with realistic scenarios to enhance decision-making under stress, and WrapVision, a body-worn camera system designed for efficiency, security, and transparency.

The launch of WrapTactics comes at a time when there is growing demand for non-lethal tools and techniques to create time, distance, and tactical advantage in non-criminal calls. By providing a comprehensive training platform, Wrap Technologies aims to support the safe and effective use of its technologies, which could have significant implications for public safety agencies and the communities they serve.
