Wrap Technologies Launches WrapTactics LMS, Expanding Non-Lethal Training Ecosystem

Wrap Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WRAP) has announced the commercial launch of WrapTactics Learning Management System (LMS), a digital platform designed to support the deployment of its non-lethal response technologies, including the BolaWrap 150. This launch completes the training foundation of the company's WrapShield six-tier human-centered response architecture, according to a press release.

The LMS provides digital learning, certification management, immersive virtual reality training, compliance reporting, and mobile learning. It is intended to create recurring subscription revenue through ongoing certification, curriculum updates, and compliance services. The platform also supports expansion into adjacent markets such as private security, healthcare, corrections, education, and transportation, as well as federal, defense, and international opportunities.

This move follows the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' (ATF) 2026 classification of the BolaWrap 150 as an instrument of restraint rather than a firearm or weapon. The company stated that this determination expands procurement opportunities beyond traditional law enforcement markets, potentially opening doors to a wider range of public safety and civilian applications.

Wrap Technologies positions itself as a global leader in innovative public safety technologies, with a portfolio that includes the BolaWrap 150, Wrap Reality immersive training platform, WrapVision body-worn camera system, and next-generation counter-drone solutions. The BolaWrap 150 is designed to provide law enforcement with a safer option for managing non-compliant subjects by deploying a multi-sensory distraction followed by a non-lethal restraint, reducing the risk of injury to officers and subjects.

The company reports that over 1,000 agencies across the U.S. and in 60 countries use BolaWrap, with training certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST). The launch of WrapTactics is expected to enhance the training infrastructure, potentially improving adoption and effectiveness of non-lethal tools.

Industry analysts suggest that the ATF classification could significantly alter procurement dynamics. By removing the stigma of a weapon classification, BolaWrap 150 may become more attractive to a broader range of organizations, including private security firms and healthcare facilities, which previously might have been hesitant to adopt a device perceived as a firearm.

Wrap Technologies also plans to integrate AI-assisted training assessment, advanced analytics, and partner-developed content into the platform, aiming to stay ahead in the evolving public safety technology landscape. The company's focus on non-lethal solutions aligns with growing societal demand for de-escalation techniques and reduced use of force.

The commercial launch of WrapTactics LMS is a strategic step for Wrap Technologies, potentially strengthening its market position and creating new revenue streams. As the company expands its training ecosystem, it may set a precedent for how non-lethal technologies are integrated into public safety operations worldwide.
