Xuemo's New English Novels Climb Amazon Charts, Bringing Tibetan Fiction to Global Readers

Ruxue International Media Inc. has released two new English editions of novels by Xuemo, a writer from the Gobi Desert, and one has already climbed to the top of Amazon's charts. The Undying Diamond Heart, published on October 10, reached No. 1 in two Amazon Kindle Store free-book categories—Historical Asian Fiction and Historical Mystery, Thriller & Suspense Fiction—and No. 3 in Historical Literary Fiction, according to rankings captured on October 19. The novel was translated by renowned sinologists Howard Goldblatt and Sylvia Li-chun Lin, who have brought numerous works of Chinese literature to English-language readers.

The Undying Diamond Heart tells the story of Khyungpo Naljor, a legendary truth seeker who lived more than a century ago. Set against a backdrop of history, romance and cultural memory, the novel follows his journey toward enlightenment as he navigates the tension between love and responsibility. Through this story, Xuemo draws on his own spiritual realization to explore human dignity, the nature of existence and the possibility of inner freedom. Xuemo calls the work a grand novel, a term he uses to distinguish it from a conventional novel, and regards it as a book for a lifetime, one that readers can return to as they grapple with questions of love, loss, mortality, the meaning of life and the deepest truth of human existence. While his other novels may influence readers or renew their outlook, he believes The Undying Diamond Heart has the potential to transform their very state of being regardless of their backgrounds. Its central message is that freedom lies not in reaching any destination but in the process of confronting one's own weaknesses and overcoming the limitations of the self.

Released on October 7, the new English edition of Love Letters from the Goddess features a collaborative translation by Goldblatt and Lin and is published and distributed worldwide by Ruxue International Media Inc. The book displays 36 soul-stirring letters selected from The Undying Diamond Heart. These letters, hidden in the void for a thousand years, now whisper the timeless romance between Saraswati, a once-revered Nepali Living Goddess, and Khyungpo Naljor, a Buddhist pilgrim seeking ultimate freedom. Their love story echoes across continents and transcends time and space, weaving between love and awakening, resonating through the pinnacle of souls and the heavens. It bears witness to humanity's longing for love, yearning for freedom, and tireless pursuit of eternity. Readers can get a free Kindle copy of Love Letters from the Goddess on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HL5L7P67 and can also grab one copy of The Undying Diamond Heart on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HL5RJDFC.

The strong Amazon performance of The Undying Diamond Heart signals growing English-language interest in fiction from the Gobi Desert and in spiritual and historical themes. For readers, the novels offer accessible entry points to Xuemo's exploration of love, loss and inner freedom. For the publishing industry, the collaboration between Ruxue International Media and acclaimed translators Goldblatt and Lin demonstrates how translated literature can achieve commercial visibility through free-book promotions and category rankings. As Xuemo's works reach wider audiences, they may encourage more publishers to invest in translations of Chinese and Tibetan literature, broadening the range of voices available to global readers.
