Technology company Alpha Modus has secured its ninth patent, reinforcing its position in the artificial intelligence-driven advertising sector. The new patent, numbered 12,175,484 and titled "Methods for Personalized Marketing and Advertising," enables real-time, tailored marketing experiences for retailers.
The patent covers innovative techniques that leverage AI to analyze consumer behavior in-store through monitoring devices. These devices capture demographic data, sentiment, and tracking details like movement and eye tracking, allowing businesses to adjust marketing strategies instantly at the point of purchase.
The technology is particularly significant as the global AI-driven retail market is projected to grow at a 25% compound annual growth rate over the next five years, reaching an estimated $20 billion. By 2027, retail media ad sales in the United States are expected to hit $106 billion, with digital-influenced retail sales topping $3.8 trillion.
Alpha Modus' solution addresses a critical gap in brick-and-mortar retail by providing real-time, personalized consumer experiences similar to those typically found in online shopping environments. The technology can deliver targeted marketing through various in-store channels like kiosks, digital displays, and checkout areas, and extends targeting capabilities to mobile devices and online platforms.
The company is also actively protecting its intellectual property, having filed patent infringement lawsuits against several major retailers including Wakefern Food Corporation, Kroger, and Brookshire Grocery Company. This aggressive approach underscores Alpha Modus' commitment to maintaining its technological edge in the competitive AI-driven advertising landscape.
CEO William Alessi emphasized the patent's significance, stating it demonstrates the company's commitment to innovation and potential to revolutionize in-store digital consumer experiences.
