Ambiq Micro Closes Upsized $179.4 Million Public Offering to Fuel AI Edge Growth

Ambiq Micro, Inc. (NYSE: AMBQ) today announced the closing of its upsized underwritten public offering, generating gross proceeds of approximately $179.4 million. The offering, which included the full exercise of underwriters' option to purchase additional shares, consisted of 2.3 million shares of common stock at a public offering price of $78.00 per share.

The proceeds, before underwriting discounts and expenses, will be used to support Ambiq's mission of enabling artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligence everywhere through its patented low-power semiconductor technology. The company's SPOT (subthreshold power optimized technology) platform delivers significant power consumption improvements over traditional designs, critical for AI compute at the edge where power constraints are most severe.

Joint lead book-running managers for the offering were BofA Securities and UBS Investment Bank, with Needham & Company, Stifel, and Roth Capital Partners serving as joint book-running managers. The offering was executed under an effective registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Ambiq has powered over 300 million devices to date, positioning itself as a key player in the low-power semiconductor market. The additional capital is expected to accelerate development and deployment of its solutions for edge AI applications, a rapidly growing sector as industries seek to process data locally rather than in the cloud.

The successful upsized offering indicates strong investor demand for Ambiq's technology and growth prospects. The company's focus on ultra-low power consumption addresses a critical bottleneck in expanding AI capabilities to battery-powered and energy-constrained devices, from wearables to industrial sensors.
