AtlantisChain Surpasses 1 Billion Blocks in Under 400 Days, Claims World's Fastest Blockchain Title

AtlantisChain, a Layer-0 public blockchain, has achieved a historic milestone by surpassing 1 billion blocks in just 373 days of operation, according to a press release on June 23, 2026. At 11:13 AM Pacific Time on June 22, the blockchain's block height reached 1,000,000,034, far exceeding competitors that have been running for years. For context, Solana, which launched in March 2020, had 406,286,685 blocks; BNB Smart Chain, launched September 2020, had 105,763,073; and Ethereum, launched July 2015, had only 25,374,757 blocks. AtlantisChain's block height is 246% of Solana's and nearly 4,000% of Ethereum's.

The blockchain boasts a transaction processing speed of 3,600,000 TPS and a block time of 0.031 seconds, attributes that have driven its rapid growth. This milestone comes about seven months after AtlantisChain was recognized as the world's fastest blockchain on November 27, 2025, a distinction covered by over 400 media outlets across 51 countries.

According to the release, AtlantisChain is the only quantum-resistant blockchain, built on the Proof of Light (PoL) algorithm and incorporating AI-contract architecture. Its finality time of 0.031 seconds makes transactions irreversible and immune to hacker or quantum computing attacks. This security feature sets it apart from Proof of Work and Proof of Stake networks like Bitcoin and Ethereum, which are considered predictable and vulnerable.

The blockchain has launched over 100 ATC-20 standard tokens, including stablecoins indexed to gold, silver, oil, the Chinese yuan, the U.S. dollar, and the British pound. These digital assets are designed to support global trade and ecosystem growth. Notably, the Chinese Yuan–indexed stablecoin, CNY Coin (CNYC), will be one of four payment currencies in the upcoming Atlantis Exchange Pro system.

AtlantisChain's performance has attracted interest from several country authorities, who are reportedly considering joining the network to facilitate global trade, signaling a shift from traditional finance to a digital economy. The blockchain's development team, rooted at MIT, has created a system that the press release describes as a 'space shuttle in Web3.'

Key highlights include Atlantis Time (AT), a sovereign time system parallel to Earth time, and the QuantumLock anti-hacking security. The blockchain's infrastructure includes an explorer at ATCscan.io, a cold wallet at AtlantisWallet.org, and an exchange at AtlantisPro.io. The press release emphasizes that AtlantisChain has surpassed the block heights of all existing blockchains since Bitcoin's emergence in 2009, achieving in days what others took years to accomplish.

With its unmatched speed, capacity, and security, AtlantisChain positions itself as the global leader in Web3 technology, with projections to exceed 1 billion users by 2030. The blockchain is U.S.-designed and operated, embodying American-built infrastructure for the digital economy.
