Miami's Body Routers Fitness is set to make a significant impact at the upcoming Fight For Air Climb, assembling its largest team yet of 40 climbers to support the American Lung Association's critical mission of lung disease prevention and research.
Led by Coach Ray Irizarry, the team aims to raise $10,000 and has already surpassed the halfway point in its fundraising goal. The event, taking place at loanDepot park, will feature dedicated athletes pushing physical and mental boundaries to support those struggling with respiratory challenges.
A notable participant is Lt. Jeanette Harrington, a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue firefighter who has dedicated her climbing efforts to those affected by lung disease. Harrington, approaching $100,000 in lifetime fundraising, has been named an honorary lifetime member of Body Routers Fitness for her exceptional commitment.
The climb represents more than a physical challenge; it symbolizes community solidarity and hope for those impacted by respiratory illnesses. By participating, Body Routers Fitness highlights the importance of lung health awareness and the power of collective action in medical research and support.
Participants can climb at their own pace, making the event accessible to individuals of varying fitness levels while maintaining a unified goal of supporting lung health research and advocacy.
