Brightspeed, the nation’s fourth largest fiber broadband builder, has announced the launch of the MyBundle platform, developed in collaboration with MyBundle, an online platform that simplifies streaming television. This initiative aims to provide Brightspeed Fiber Internet customers with enhanced streaming options and value in an era of rapidly changing video consumption habits.
The deployment includes Find My Bundle, a personalized recommendation tool that helps users navigate the complex streaming marketplace. Additionally, Brightspeed will utilize MyBundle’s marketing tools and educational resources to aid customers in the transition from traditional TV services to streaming.
Brightspeed Fiber Internet customers will also gain access to a co-branded version of MyBundle’s newly launched mobile app, designed to optimize content search and recommendations. Steve DeCaspers, Brightspeed’s Vice President of Marketing, emphasized that the MyBundle platform will facilitate a seamless transition from traditional cable to streaming channels, leveraging their state-of-the-art multi-gig-speed fiber network which currently reaches over 1.2 million homes and businesses.
MyBundle, now partnering with 250 broadband providers and serving more than 13 million households in the United States, plays a critical role in this initiative. Jason Cohen, Co-Founder and CEO of MyBundle, highlighted the platform’s ability to support broadband leaders and educate consumers on optimizing their video consumption.
Find My Bundle offers a personalized streaming TV recommendation engine that simplifies the migration from traditional pay TV to streaming alternatives, guiding customers through a step-by-step process to meet their television needs. The MyBundle mobile app further assists users by allowing them to build and maintain a list of movies and TV shows, complete with synopses, ratings, trailers, and viewing options.
This collaboration between Brightspeed and MyBundle reflects a broader trend in the telecommunications industry, where service providers are increasingly focusing on enhancing customer experiences through personalized and user-friendly digital tools. With the streaming landscape becoming more intricate, initiatives like these not only provide value to consumers but also help broadband providers and streaming networks expand their businesses.
