BTQ Technologies Inks Three-Year Deal to Bring Quantum-Secure Stablecoin Protection to Kaia Blockchain

BTQ Technologies Corp. has signed a three-year commercial agreement with the Kaia DLT Foundation to deploy its Quantum Secure Stablecoin Network, or QSSN, across the Kaia blockchain ecosystem. The deal marks the first recurring commercial deployment of QSSN, according to the announcement, and gives the quantum technology company a direct stake in the transaction activity it protects.

Under the agreement, BTQ (NASDAQ: BTQ) (CBOE CA: BTQ) will receive a portion of transaction fees generated by QSSN-secured activity on Kaia. The company expects first-year revenue in the six figures, with revenue over the full three-year term tied to transaction volume. That structure means the financial outcome depends on how much activity actually flows through the QSSN-protected infrastructure rather than on a fixed license fee.

QSSN will provide account-level protection for stablecoins on Kaia, extending across the blockchain's transaction and settlement infrastructure as well as applications built on it. The scope matters because stablecoins are increasingly used for payments and settlement, and account-level security covers the point where funds are held, not just the movement of value across a network.

LINE NEXT Inc.'s Unifi Wallet is positioned to be among the first consumer use cases for QSSN on Kaia. The wallet supports stablecoins including USDT, Japan's JPYC and Indonesia's IDRP, which suggests the deployment could reach users in multiple Asian markets where those currencies are relevant. A wallet serving several regional stablecoins gives QSSN a consumer-facing entry point rather than limiting it to backend infrastructure.

The agreement is significant for BTQ because it converts its post-quantum security work into a commercial arrangement with recurring revenue potential. BTQ describes itself as a quantum technology company focused on accelerating the transition from classical networks to the quantum internet, backed by a broad patent portfolio and developing a full-stack, neutral-atom quantum computing platform spanning hardware, middleware and post-quantum security solutions for finance, telecommunications, logistics, life sciences and defense.

For the wider blockchain industry, the deal reflects a growing effort to prepare financial infrastructure for the possibility that quantum computers could eventually threaten the cryptographic foundations of digital assets. Stablecoins, which aim to hold a steady value and are used for payments, are a particularly sensitive target because they concentrate both value and transaction activity.
