BTQ Technologies Named Security Partner for MoonPay Korea's Stablecoin Infrastructure

BTQ Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: BTQ) (CBOE CA: BTQ), a global technology company developing trust infrastructure for the quantum era, has announced a strategic partnership with MoonPay Korea to provide post-quantum cryptography (PQC) security for its Korean won-backed stablecoin infrastructure. The partnership includes developing a quantum-transition roadmap, conducting a proof of concept of BTQ Quantum Secure Stablecoin Network (QSSN) with Korean banking institutions, and supporting quantum-safe security across stablecoin issuance, distribution, wallets, and settlement.

MoonPay Korea is developing infrastructure connecting Korea's emerging stablecoin market to MoonPay's global network of more than 35 million customers in approximately 180 countries and more than 1,500 enterprise clients. The agreement builds on BTQ's existing collaborations with Korean financial institutions and its commercial agreement with LINE NEXT and Kaia DLT Foundation to deploy QSSN across the Kaia ecosystem.

Why does this matter? As quantum computing advances, traditional cryptographic methods that secure digital assets could become vulnerable to attacks. By integrating post-quantum cryptography into stablecoin infrastructure, BTQ and MoonPay Korea aim to future-proof the digital asset ecosystem against quantum threats. This partnership not only positions BTQ as a key player in the emerging quantum-safe security market but also signals a broader shift in the financial industry toward adopting quantum-resistant technologies. For investors, this collaboration could represent a significant growth opportunity for BTQ as it expands its footprint in Asia's burgeoning stablecoin market. For the industry, it sets a precedent for security standards in the quantum era, potentially influencing how other stablecoin providers approach security. The proof of concept with Korean banking institutions could accelerate the adoption of quantum-safe solutions across the financial sector.
